Ontario's Farm Mutuals want to prevent you from becoming a victim of robbery. Mutual Protect is a theft reduction program implemented through participating Mutuals working in partnership with local Ontario Provincial Police detachments.
Brant Mutual Insurance Company will be a participating member in this valuable service.
The program provides residents with and effective means to mark valuable personal property - for future identification - using their vehicle license plate number. Since your license plates are now issued for life, your license plate number is permanent. Police are able to access these numbers and will be able to determine the true owners of recovered property.
How The Program Works:
Contact Brant Mutual Insurance Company or OPP office to pick up a Mutual Protect engraver.
Write your license plate number on all easily portable valuables.
Return the engraver when you're finished and you will receive your free Mutual Protect stickers to let thieves know your home is off limits. The stickers can be applied to the inside of windows to let thieves know your property has been marked for easy identification.
Make Your Mark:
In your home: on computer equipment, TV's, stereos, cameras, game machines, VCR's, and jewelry, hand tools, and electronic equipment.
In your vehicle: on electronic equipment, cell phones, and CD's
In your business: on computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, hand tools, and other portable equipment.
